What is Invisalign?

Consider Invisalign treatment to get the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted -- without braces. A complimentary consultation with Dr. Henry can determine if Invisalign clear aligners are right for you. Invisalign treatment uses a series of virtually invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that allow you to smile more during treatment as well as after. Dr. Henry has been providing Invisalign treatment since 2004. Invisalign has improved tremendously over the past few years. Some of our patients that were not good candidates for Invisalign even a few years ago can now be treated successfully with Invisalign. Call us today to schedule your complimentary consultation to see if clear aligners are a treatment option for you!

Why would I want it?

Not only are the aligners virtually invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also more comfortable than traditional braces, with no metal or wires, which also usually means less time in in our office for your adjustment visits. Invisalign treatment also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete. Dr. Henry begins every new patient's treatment with the "end in mind". Once Dr. Henry works up your Invisalign treament plan, you now have the ability to actually see what your smile will look like prior to starting treatment!

How does it work?

You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to their final positions. You'll visit us about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages nine to 15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

Why choose Dr. Henry for your Invisalign treatment?

Invisalign is one of the many treatment options Dr. Henry can use in order give you your best smile, but Invisalign may or may not be the best option for you. Invisalign has improved greatly in recent years, but it still is not for everybody.

Although Invisalign was initially offered only by orthodontists, Invisalign eventually chose to allow general dentists/non-orthodontists to become Invisalign providers in order to make the product more widely available to the public. Some non-orthodontic providers may not have any other treatment options available to improve your smile in situations where Invisalign may not get you all the way to the finish line. Dr. Henry often tells patients that Invisalign can get beautiful results, but it is just one of the "tools" he uses to improve his patients' smiles. You can feel confident that Dr. Henry will be able to offer you the best options for your specific smile needs.

There are other factors to consider other than if Invisalign will be a treatment option for you. Some other factors you may want to consider include time in treatment and payment options (which may vary in your specific case of braces or Invisalign). Call us today to see if Invisalign may be the right choice for you!
